Only a short flat walk along the river to the Town Basin. “The Town Basin” is the inner harbour marina and here you will find shops, cafés, restaurants and Clapham's Clock museum. Sunday at 11 you can catch the Waipapa for a 3 hrs sail to Limestone Island.

How to find us
From Dent Street, cross Hatea River and follow the signs towards Onerahi / airport. 900 metres along Riverside Drive you will see the motel on your right.
We are situated just before the BP Station and "Stumpy's" ( the best fish'n chips in Whangarei).

Marina Court Motel (previously Anchor Inn Motel) is just a short flat walk from the Town Basin and Whangarei town centre. It is adjacent to Riverside Marina and harbour.

Marina Court is a traditional style Kiwi motel with self-contained one and two bedroom units as well as open plan studio units.
Marina Court is situated between Riverside Drive and the Whangarei Harbour, so you can go to the water and feed the geese or look at the boats, without crossing any major roads.
The units are large and airy and very clean. They all contain minimum 2 hotplates and an oven as well as fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, pots, pans and crockery.
We are the closest motel to the airport and we are perfectly situated for people having work done on boats next door at Ray Roberts Marine.
Marina Court is a great place to stay when visiting friends in the area or when spending a couple of days in Whangarei.
